Over the past 5 years, he's written about nearly every topic under the sun and in nearly every conceivable style.

Tim's talent with words has earned him a loyal following among local readers. It's also earned him a couple of awards. The Illinois Associated Press honored him in 2006, and the Chicago Headline Club presented him the 2007 Peter Lisagor Award for column writing, the most prestigious award given to Illinois writers. But he's never written for accolades. Nor has he gotten rich off the pursuit. He simply keeps at it because people who are either exceedingly nice or exceedingly nondiscerning in their tastes have told him they enjoy his work.

Tim has gained a reputation among readers as a guy who says what he thinks, not what he thinks readers want to hear. And he's shown he can stand up to the heat when his opinions have struck a raw nerve.
